Yes, the vinemeet has ended and I'm kind of sad, because it was so much fun! The weather was terribly hot, but everything else was a great success in my book. I'm thinking everyone had as good a time as I did, which always helps too. To recap, in total we had 13 folks show up, 7 of those were viners, and the rest were family members. We stayed at the Port of Kimberling Resort, ate at local restaurants in Kimberling City, and mostly hung around the pool chatting and getting to know the other folks in a much more personal way than you do here on the Vine.
The resort we stayed in was such an lovely place and the staff there took excellent care of us. If you ever decide to visit Table Rock Lake, this is the place to go! It's located just 15 mins. west of Branson, right on the lake and has all the amenities you could want. Wi-Fi is free, Each hotel room features a fridge and microwave, flat screen television, iron, ironing board, hair dryer, etc., fitness room, guests have free access to the onsite boat ramp, basketball court, tennis court, volleyball court, swimming beach. (some of this was copied from website) They have suites available which is what I stayed in with balconies. Most rooms had a lake view, mine was actually facing the lake!

We started out the first night just getting to know each other and made a few plans for the rest of our time there. Actually, I need to be clear here, we really didn't want to have a totally planned out vinemeet, so we really only had one structured event which was to get together the last day at the clubhouse of the community where Kavika's new home is located. So the first and second night we got together we had chip/dip and optional libations. During the daytime we all did our own thing. Since it was so dang hot, personally I didn't care to be out running around in the afternoons, so I spent a lot of time close to an air conditioner.

This is the view of the lake I had from my suite
