Guess what? We're planning a get-together near Branson this September! The particulars are that we are going to meet in Kimberling City at the Port of Kimberling Resort which is located on Table Rock Lake 18 miles west of Branson. The dates have been set, Mon. Sept 3 thru Wed. Sept. 6 2012. Of course if you care to come just a day, or stay the whole week I'm sure that's fine.
One of the reasons we chose the Branson area is that it's easy to get to, also because Kakiva and family have recently built a new home down there close by and we want to welcome him to Missouri. Along with the fact that hanging out by the lake with a bunch of Newsviners just sounded like too much fun!
Now, please don't think we are planning some great big production because we are not! We want you to just hang out around the pool with us and converse, or you can shop if you want, go to shows in Branson, or whatever else you decide you want to do. Maybe if everyone wants to at night we can find someplace mutually suitable for us to gather and eat. The hotel we've found does have a marina there and I found this on their website:
They offer more services and amenities than any other marina on the lake including ski boat rentals, wave runner rentals, pontoon rentals, houseboat rentals, water sports rentals and sales, Sea Tow, fuel dock, campground and cabins, floating café, and boat sales.
If you want to fish, I'm sure you could do that as well.

So, I suggest if you think you want to come to the Vinemeet that you put this on your calendar and/or make some plans. We would love to see you there! Right now, Mrs D and some of her family, myself and Kavika & family are involved along with a maybe on Kearney Outlaw, but there is room for lots more!

UPDATE 6-18-2012
I just talked with the hotel folks at the Port of Kimberling and they have agreed to give a small discount on the rooms and a meeting room, provided we get a group of 5-9 rooms rented. If we have more than 10 rooms rented, we will get an even larger discount! So there's another reason to try for all of us to come!
