It's finally here! Our Leap Day Sun posting and I'm already seeing the sun from all over the world! This has been a long month for me, since we decided to do this challenge way back at the first of February. But it  has been a lot of fun and hopefully we can plan to do something like this again.

I want to thanks everyone that has participated and helped advertise the effort across the web.  Dowser helped out by creating a map for us to mark where our sun shots are from, etva and HollyKl helped write reminder articles and to the folks that helped brainstorm the original idea. Newsvine staff even tweeted about it and linked it in Facebook! It's been a group effort and one well worth the time we spent. Thanks everyone!

A wide view of my Leap Day Sunset, I guess I was lucky having a sun to capture since lots of folks had clouds or rain, but I would have preferred some clouds mixed in. I think they make an image more interesting.
