I attended our annual Christmas parade last Saturday and tried to capture it on film. The theme for the parade was "Rockin' Around the Square" which I thought was appropriate considering some of the floats entered. It was a lovely cool day with lots of sun and of course tons of fun!

Here is a sample of some of my pictures.

One of the floats

Crimson Girls-Glendale HS

Aqua Santa Elf

I named this one Aqua Santa Elf.

A Christmas KISS won best float at the parade

Associated Theatrical Contractors staged a Christmas KISS concert. They won best float of the parade!

Frosty

No parade would be complete without a Frosty!

Santa and Mrs Claus

And of course, Santa and Mrs Clause!

I've also complied a video of some of my pictures for your viewing pleasure, it's not too long, but it gives you a sense of what we got to see.  You can also go here to see all the individual images if you prefer.

Great pictures RL. I'm glad you got to go to the parade and get some photos. Seems like it's been either freezing cold (15-20) here or raining. Neither is good parade weather - it's been raining since Monday night now. I'm ready for it to stop.

It's been unseasonably warm around here, but we're in for some of that rain starting this afternoon I fear. Thanks for coming by!

I'll have to check out the photos from home-the won't load here, though I'm sure they are wonderful-this season should be a time of joy and fun-I'm glad some people do this for the enjoyment of all!

A Christmas parade! How fun was that? Ours is held at 6pm; dark in December. I always wished it was a daylight parade. Nice shots. Lots of different things going on:) I appreciated getting to attend!

I think an evening parade would have it's value, the lights and all, but yeah, I'd rather see it in the daylight. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thank you for posting this Rottlady - we missed the town festival this year. Nice to see that Santa employs fish to be elfs too! "-P

I had to question the fish and Kiss, but I guess everyone needs some holiday cheer don't they?

Thanks Jackie!

Here it is, almost Christmas
and my stockings still bare
but with photos like these posted
what do I care?

That Santa's a fish
I've always suspected
and I much highly doubt
those Crimson girls are neglected!

I love watching floats
but it seems a charade
too have one about Kiss
in the Christmas parade.

These are really cool pictures
I'll confess here, Rottlady.
Oh, Merry Christmas, Happy New Years
(and I mean it; not maybe)!
