Following Viki's and Lauhal's lead;, I'd like to revisit the purpose of the Good News Wednesday group and hopefully revive interest in this group.

This group is dedicated to posting articles of a positive nature on Wednesdays.
Why? Because there is so much negativity, it seemed that someone should focus on the positive.
Why Wednesday? Because by focusing our efforts on just one day we stand a greater chance of being noticed. It is hoped that the members will also support any Newsviner who writes or seeds positive articles. This can be done by clipping works of non-members to the group and by reading and commenting on articles posted to the groups.
The whole idea is to show that there can be support for positive articles on Newsvine. With everyone's help, we can prove it!
I would like to thank Rottlady and Spikgary who have helped me from the beginning. I wouldn't have been able to pull this off without them.

As our purpose is to make a positive effect on Wednesdays only, any articles posted on days other than Wednesday will be removed by the admins. If someone is consistently posting on days other than Wednesday, they may be removed from the group.
We are a very diverse group and what one person might consider to be good news may not be to someone else. It is my hope that we try to avoid any and all articles that may become contentious.That is why anything with even a whiff of politics will be deleted by the administrators. There are more than enough groups on Newsvine to post articles for such topics.
