We have had a fairly long and snowy winter here in Missouri, not like some folks in the east but still, it's been a long season of gray days. I have had a craving to see some color so I purchased a couple of flowers to brighten up my apartment. I thought you all might need something to brighten up your day as well so I decided to share.

The stores had lots of flowers for sale around Valentine's Day so it wasn't hard to find some lovely tulips and although I haven't had a orchid before, they were a reasonable price and I decided to give it a shot.

It won't be long before our outdoor flowers will be sprouting up out of the cold ground but until then I will have something to remind me that Spring is just around the corner.
