Super Dog!

Darth Vader Dog!
Howdy to all you good Newsviner's and Happy Halloween! Get you costumes on and fix yourself something to drink and let's have a party!
Since not everyone has a costume, let's see if we can help them out. If you find the perfect disguise for someone, let me know and I'll add it to our article here for everyone to see.. Or maybe you have the perfect libation, the perfect snack or maybe just have a great story to tell. It's time to share and have some fun.
So let's get this party started!
That's a laugh out loud picture of Superman Elizabeth. It looks like a little man. lols. Very cute!
Happy Halloween back at cha!
Happy Halloween to all my friends at Newsvine, especially Rottlady...
Classic. LOL.
You too! Tomorrow night with the buddies might be a little R rated. :)
Thanks. P.S. My former dog Cocoa who was a deer head pure bred chihuahua.. which was my avatar for a long time... had a super man costume like the picture in your article my g/f bought him. I even had a name tag chain made with the superman for him. Was cool. Called him that cause he had long legs and leaped like a kangaroo. lol.
I like the superman costume, but that one of the bulldog in the Darth Vadar costume really gets me. Happy Halloween, rottlady and thanks for posting this. The orange is so Halloween-y. It's early, so I will be back for more fun later in the day.
I love the pictures!
This is a great site, and I'll be back later!
Love you, rottlady!
I will try my best to be good... but no guarantees. :-)
I like Darth. I will show up at the party latter. I will be dressed as a redshadowwitrhgreenbackground.
My little dog will be with me, dressed as a pumpkin. She loves to dance.
Thank you for an adorable picture! Cute!!! I really enjoyed it! (Isn't it great that other people dress their animals up, too?)
Me, too, redshadow. Great picture!
I agree. He lookls ready for Halloween. Or duck hunting.
LOL. Dogs are so funny in costume because they always look so earnest. There they are wearing something totally absurd but with such a sweet, serious face. Makes it a thousand times funnier. (Dogs are great!)
My dog really enjoys it. She knows dressing up gets her more attention. We went to the store this morning for our morning donut. She wore her pumpkin outfit and ran all around the parking lot. At least 6 people stopped and petted her. She loved it.
Hi, rottlady,
This is great! And those doogie costumes are a howl. Loved the Super Dog, and Pugs were made to put costumes on.
And everyone have a happy, fun, and safe Halloween! .. See you all later.
Sweet rottlady! Here is a great party song to get the party started! "Life is a Cabaret" sung by Liza Minelli! (ok, so it is hokey, but I love it!)
Here is a great one for Halloween! "The Monster Mash"
(golly rottlady, I think I got it to work! Thanks to your helpful hints!
And I like this one, as well! "Dem Bones", by Arkham Asylum(?)
I"ll be back tomorrow! Hope you all have fun tonight!
All that talk about dark chocolate (yum) made me buy sacks full for our trick or treaters. Kind of hope we don't get many. LOL
Hey, rottlady, I found a couple web pages with costumes for dogs. One is Costume Craze and the other is Spoiled Rotten Doggies. Enjoy!
Here's some links to their dog costume pages. www.costumecraze.com/Traditional-Costumes-Halloween-Costumes-Halloween-Costumes-for-Pets.html
and www.spoiledrottendoggies.com/costumes.htm
Well, here I am, Halloween evening and not a trick or treater in sight. Darn, I'll have to eat 3 big bags of dark chocolate myself. We even left the door open, so they'd know we were here, the little demons have put us on the ignore list. MORE candy for ME.
i gave out some candy, my dog got a few dog treats, we broke even.
That's odd, rottlady, I live in an apartment that is lousy (no offense) with kids. They swing from the bushes every day, but not one of the little ones has knocked on the door for candy. I thought we'd get to see some of them. We don't have a reputation (yet) for being the mean old people, in fact, I am quite friendly with some of them. Strange.
We're looking a house. They do carry on rather loudly. Once your own fly the nest, you really notice how much noise they make. My mom used to ask me how I could work with 6 or 7 kids running in and out of my office. (They weren't all mine, just 2 and 2 step kids, plus assorted friends). I honestly didn't notice them, I was so used to them. Now they are all gone, and the slightest interruption irritates me no end. Go figure.
So far, so good. Lots of trick-or-treaters, all very sweet and polite. (I love this neighborhood!)
Morgan, my Beagle, has been greeting everyone in her Tigger costume and loving every minute of it.
I did have to take a Kit Kat away from her. Yikes! But she didn't get any chocolate.
Simon kitty was annoyed by the bell, but has recovered. (Canned cat food therapy.)
Not a bad evening.
I love rotties. But I know they can look intimidating. (Big, sweet baby-poos. LOL.)
I hope all is well at your end, too, dear!
Star Smiles has a model t Ford in her front yard, and she was going to put a "spook" with audio behind the wheel.
That would keep the little beggars away. LOL
LOL. It'd keep me away, too.
Anybody still up, the playground is open over all SnotRag Dave's. Click on his column and the first article, everybody is there being crazy.
The orange font was an excellent idea.
How do you do orange letters?
Hey Rottlady,
I got to your blog because someone on your sweet story about the letter to God post had linked to the story which was also posted on my site here:
Likewise, I had posted the story about the 15 lessons here:

Love your blog :)
We live way out in the boon docks so there hasn't been a trick or treater around here in about 18 years. There's a couple bags of candy up on the book case that I have been thinking about opening just in case you know. I usually avoid sweets, but every once in awhile---------
Great party. Best I ever attended. Thanks. Again next year?
I agree with redshadow, we need to do it again next year. I'll wear something better, I promise.
I thought you looked fantastic last night.
Those costumes are great and amazingsusan's link, Boo, was so funny too. I couldn't get my dog to keep her wig on yesterday! I missed the party, natch, but contribute the following from Why Dogs Hate Halloween.
I liked the Beagle with the knife through his head.
I liked the Chihuahua, and the bathing beauty and the spider and the three headed dog and - well I liked them all. lols
The "spider" was very good.
My dog, Roxie, was supposed to be Roxy Hart from the musical, Chicago - little boots, a wig and just a scarf...no go! So she was just a dog for Halloween like every day - a big, spoiled, loved dog! Next year I'll try the spider; I loved that too.
What breed or size is she? Will she be a big spider?
Roxie is a German Shepherd (my avatar). Her long legs are those of a dancer - I just couldn't convince her to keep the boots on. She won!
If I'm lucky, I might get to see a picture of her; as a spider.
Yes, she'll be a huge spider and I'm sure it will be a struggle. (By the way, I do put boots on Roxie along with a coat in winter so they are not really a costume. We do a lot of walking in the winter and there is so much salt on the road and even the snow gets frozen in her paws; it's just better for her feet to keep the boots on. A bit odd seeing a Shepherd dressed like that, I know, but no sore feet is a good thing.)
I told my wife about your Shepherd and the "spider" today.
I may do it for her birthday which is November 22. I'd hate to make you wait a year. But I think I might be able to get the Christmas pictures of our dogs. We have a Bulldog too and he's a lot easier to dress. Weren't those pictures wonderful? Clever outfits, no?
Hi Elizabeth,
We have a pet parade here in Roslyn and all the little furry friends, dogs, cats even ferrets and guinea gigs are all dressed up. the kids love it.
Thanks for the great story!
