"Jericho" has been canceled, and no amount of peanuts will bring it back.
"The March 25th episode of Jericho will be the series finale," CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler said in a statement. "Without question, there are passionate viewers watching this program; we simply wish there were more."
Producers hedged their bets by shooting two alternate endings to the final show, which airs Tuesday.
One is a cliffhanger that could have led to a third season and the other ending is said to bring "closure" to fans.
But, sources tell the Hollywood Reporter, there's enough wiggle room in the final episode to make room for new life of the series on cable.
I just started watching some episodes on Sci-Fi and my boyfriend has been getting the disks off of netflix so we can get caught up. Still not through the first season yet but somehow the idea of a post-nuclear you have to survive without all of the basic comforts type of show is interesting.
I've really enjoyed watching this show. However I think they are wrapping it up pretty good, I think two seasons are all they need of this anyway. Saying that....if they start up a new series on cable, I'd probably watch. ;-)
Jericho is one of the few shows that I actually watch weekly, so it will be sad to see it go. Of course, all the good ones always get canceled...
Bad News! I loved that show... :(
Only started watching season one a few days ago, so I'm not too far yet, but it seems like a pretty interesting show. Pity that originality and good writing don't cut it for ratings these days. :/
